لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِیَوْمِ الْقِیٰمَةِ ۟ۙ I swear by the Day of Resurrection — Saheeh International وَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ ۟ؕ And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. — Saheeh International اَیَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَلَّنْ نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهٗ ۟ؕ Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? — Saheeh International بَلٰى قٰدِرِیْنَ عَلٰۤی اَنْ نُّسَوِّیَ بَنَانَهٗ ۟ Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. — Saheeh International بَلْ یُرِیْدُ الْاِنْسَانُ لِیَفْجُرَ اَمَامَهٗ ۟ۚ But man desires to continue in sin. — Saheeh International یَسْـَٔلُ اَیَّانَ یَوْمُ الْقِیٰمَةِ ۟ؕ He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" — Saheeh International فَاِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ ۟ۙ So when vision is dazzled — Saheeh International وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ ۟ۙ And the moon darkens — Saheeh International وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ ۟ۙ And the sun and the moon are joined, — Saheeh International یَقُوْلُ الْاِنْسَانُ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ اَیْنَ الْمَفَرُّ ۟ۚ Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" — Saheeh International كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ۟ؕ No! There is no refuge. — Saheeh International اِلٰى رَبِّكَ یَوْمَىِٕذِ لْمُسْتَقَرُّ ۟ؕ To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. — Saheeh International یُنَبَّؤُا الْاِنْسَانُ یَوْمَىِٕذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَاَخَّرَ ۟ؕ Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. — Saheeh International بَلِ الْاِنْسَانُ عَلٰی نَفْسِهٖ بَصِیْرَةٌ ۟ۙ Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, — Saheeh International وَّلَوْ اَلْقٰى مَعَاذِیْرَهٗ ۟ؕ Even if he presents his excuses. — Saheeh International لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهٖ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهٖ ۟ؕ Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. — Saheeh International اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا جَمْعَهٗ وَقُرْاٰنَهٗ ۟ۚۖ Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. — Saheeh International فَاِذَا قَرَاْنٰهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْاٰنَهٗ ۟ۚ So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. — Saheeh International ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا بَیَانَهٗ ۟ؕ Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. — Saheeh International كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَةَ ۟ۙ No! But you love the immediate — Saheeh International وَتَذَرُوْنَ الْاٰخِرَةَ ۟ؕ And leave the Hereafter. — Saheeh International وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ۟ۙ [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, — Saheeh International اِلٰى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ ۟ۚ Looking at their Lord. — Saheeh International وَوُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ ۟ۙ And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, — Saheeh International تَظُنُّ اَنْ یُّفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ۟ؕ Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. — Saheeh International كَلَّاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِیَ ۟ۙ No! When the soul has reached the collar bones — Saheeh International وَقِیْلَ مَنْ ٚ رَاقٍ ۟ۙ And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" — Saheeh International وَّظَنَّ اَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ ۟ۙ And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation — Saheeh International وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ ۟ۙ And the leg is wound about the leg, — Saheeh International اِلٰى رَبِّكَ یَوْمَىِٕذِ لْمَسَاقُ ۟ؕ۠ To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. — Saheeh International فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلّٰى ۟ۙ And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed. — Saheeh International وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰى ۟ۙ But [instead], he denied and turned away. — Saheeh International ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ اِلٰۤی اَهْلِهٖ یَتَمَطّٰى ۟ؕ And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]. — Saheeh International اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰى ۟ۙ Woe to you, and woe! — Saheeh International ثُمَّ اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰى ۟ؕ Then woe to you, and woe! — Saheeh International اَیَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنْ یُّتْرَكَ سُدًی ۟ؕ Does man think that he will be left neglected? — Saheeh International اَلَمْ یَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّنْ مَّنِیٍّ یُّمْنٰى ۟ۙ Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted? — Saheeh International ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّٰى ۟ۙ Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him] — Saheeh International فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَیْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُ And made of him two mates, the male and the female. — Saheeh International اَلَیْسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰۤی اَنْ یُّحْیِ الْمَوْتٰى ۟۠ Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead? — Saheeh International
