سُوْرَۃعَبَسَ
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰۤی ۟ۙ
The Prophet frowned and turned away
— Saheeh International

اَنْ جَآءَهُ الْاَعْمٰى ۟ؕ
Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting].
— Saheeh International

وَمَا یُدْرِیْكَ لَعَلَّهٗ یَزَّ 
But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified
— Saheeh International

اَوْ یَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرٰى ۟ؕ
Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?
— Saheeh International

اَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنٰى ۟ۙ
As for he who thinks himself without need,
— Saheeh International

فَاَنْتَ لَهٗ تَصَدّٰى ۟ؕ
To him you give attention.
— Saheeh International

وَمَا عَلَیْكَ اَلَّا یَزَّكّٰى ۟ؕ
And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.
— Saheeh International

وَاَمَّا مَنْ جَآءَكَ یَسْعٰى ۟ۙ
But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]
— Saheeh International

وَهُوَ یَخْشٰى ۟ۙ
While he fears [Allah],
— Saheeh International

فَاَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهّٰى ۟ۚ
From him you are distracted.
— Saheeh International

كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ ۟ۚ
No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder;
— Saheeh International

فَمَنْ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ ۟ۘ
So whoever wills may remember it.
— Saheeh International

فِیْ صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ ۟ۙ
[It is recorded] in honored sheets,
— Saheeh International

مَّرْفُوْعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍۭ ۟ۙ
Exalted and purified,
— Saheeh International

بِاَیْدِیْ سَفَرَةٍ ۟ۙ
[Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,
— Saheeh International

كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ ۟ؕ
Noble and dutiful.
— Saheeh International

قُتِلَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَاۤ اَكْفَرَهٗ ۟ؕ
Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he.
— Saheeh International

مِنْ اَیِّ شَیْءٍ خَلَقَهٗ ۟ؕ
From what substance did He create him?
— Saheeh International

مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ؕ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ۟ۙ
From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;
— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ السَّبِیْلَ یَسَّرَهٗ ۟ۙ
Then He eased the way for him;
— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ اَمَاتَهٗ فَاَقْبَرَهٗ ۟ۙ
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ اِذَا شَآءَ اَنْشَرَهٗ ۟ؕ
Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.
— Saheeh International

كَلَّا لَمَّا یَقْضِ مَاۤ اَمَرَهٗ ۟ؕ
No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.
— Saheeh International

فَلْیَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ اِلٰى طَعَامِهٖۤ ۟ۙ
Then let mankind look at his food -
— Saheeh International

اَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَآءَ صَبًّا ۟ۙ
How We poured down water in torrents,
— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْاَرْضَ شَقًّا ۟ۙ
Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],
— Saheeh International

فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا فِیْهَا حَبًّا ۟ۙ
And caused to grow within it grain
— Saheeh International

وَّعِنَبًا وَّقَضْبًا ۟ۙ
And grapes and herbage
— Saheeh International

وَّزَیْتُوْنًا وَّنَخْلًا ۟ۙ
And olive and palm trees
— Saheeh International

وَّحَدَآىِٕقَ غُلْبًا ۟ۙ
And gardens of dense shrubbery
— Saheeh International

وَّفَاكِهَةً وَّاَبًّا ۟ۙ
And fruit and grass -
— Saheeh International

مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْ ۟ؕ
[As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock.
— Saheeh International

فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الصَّآخَّةُ ۟ؗ
But when there comes the Deafening Blast
— Saheeh International

یَوْمَ یَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ اَخِیْهِ ۟ۙ
On the Day a man will flee from his brother
— Saheeh International

وَاُمِّهٖ وَاَبِیْهِ ۟ۙ
And his mother and his father
— Saheeh International

وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَبَنِیْهِ ۟ؕ
And his wife and his children,
— Saheeh International

لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ شَاْنٌ یُّغْنِیْهِ ۟ؕ
For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.
— Saheeh International

وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ۟ۙ
[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright -
— Saheeh International

ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ ۟ۚ
Laughing, rejoicing at good news.
— Saheeh International

وَوُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ عَلَیْهَا غَبَرَةٌ ۟ۙ
And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust.
— Saheeh International

تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ۟ؕ
Blackness will cover them.
— Saheeh International

اُولٰٓىِٕكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ ۟۠
Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.
— Saheeh International
