Surah Al-Ghashiyah (ٱلْغَاشِيَة)

سُوْرَۃٱلْغَاشِيَة

هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِیْثُ الْغَاشِیَةِ ۟ؕ
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?
— Saheeh International

وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ۟ۙ
[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,
— Saheeh International

عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۟ۙ
Working [hard] and exhausted.
— Saheeh International

تَصْلٰی نَارًا حَامِیَةً ۟ۙ
They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.
— Saheeh International

تُسْقٰی مِنْ عَیْنٍ اٰنِیَةٍ ۟ؕ
They will be given drink from a boiling spring.
— Saheeh International

لَیْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِیْعٍ ۟ۙ
For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant
— Saheeh International

لَّا یُسْمِنُ وَلَا یُغْنِیْ مِنْ جُوْعٍ ۟ؕ
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.
— Saheeh International

وُجُوْهٌ یَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۟ۙ
[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.
— Saheeh International

لِّسَعْیِهَا رَاضِیَةٌ ۟ۙ
With their effort [they are] satisfied
— Saheeh International

فِیْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍ ۟ۙ
In an elevated garden,
— Saheeh International

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِیْهَا لَاغِیَةً ۟ؕ
Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.
— Saheeh International

فِیْهَا عَیْنٌ جَارِیَةٌ ۟ۘ
Within it is a flowing spring.
— Saheeh International

فِیْهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوْعَةٌ ۟ۙ
Within it are couches raised high
— Saheeh International

وَّاَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوْعَةٌ ۟ۙ
And cups put in place
— Saheeh International

وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوْفَةٌ ۟ۙ
And cushions lined up
— Saheeh International

وَّزَرَابِیُّ مَبْثُوْثَةٌ ۟ؕ
And carpets spread around.
— Saheeh International

اَفَلَا یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَی الْاِبِلِ كَیْفَ خُلِقَتْ ۟ۥ
Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?
— Saheeh International

وَاِلَی السَّمَآءِ كَیْفَ رُفِعَتْ ۟ۥ
And at the sky - how it is raised?
— Saheeh International

وَاِلَی الْجِبَالِ كَیْفَ نُصِبَتْ ۟ۥ
And at the mountains - how they are erected?
— Saheeh International

وَاِلَی الْاَرْضِ كَیْفَ سُطِحَتْ ۟ۥ
And at the earth - how it is spread out?
— Saheeh International

فَذَكِّرْ ؕ۫ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ۟ؕ
So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
— Saheeh International

لَسْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ بِمُصَۜیْطِرٍ ۟ۙ
You are not over them a controller.
— Saheeh International

اِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلّٰی وَكَفَرَ ۟ۙ
However, he who turns away and disbelieves -
— Saheeh International

فَیُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الْعَذَابَ الْاَكْبَرَ ۟ؕ
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
— Saheeh International

اِنَّ اِلَیْنَاۤ اِیَابَهُمْ ۟ۙ
Indeed, to Us is their return.
— Saheeh International

ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَیْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ ۟۠
Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
— Saheeh International
